Ravel Morrison doesn’t miss many chances to show off his skills.

The English soccer player is enjoying a break-out season in the Premier League, and his performances for West Ham United have earned him a call-up to England’s U-21 national team. On Sunday, he scored a goal during England’s practice session that was so good, it has gone viral on the Internet.

The 20-year-old ran onto a pass near the penalty spot, jumped and shot a back-heeled volley past the goalkeeper. The audacious move appeared to shock his teammates and England staff. It undoubtedly joins his personal highlight reel, which already includes the superb solo goal he scored in a league game against Tottenham Hotspur on Oct. 6.

If Morrison keeps his skills sharp and confidence high, he could play himself onto England’s senior team ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and become one of the feel-good redemption stories of the tournament.
