Red Sox Release 2014 Spring Training Schedule

It won’t be long before the equipment truck is packed up.

It seems like the Red Sox were just celebrating a World Series victory on the field at Fenway Park, but the club on Thursday announced its 2014 spring training schedule. The Red Sox will play 17 games at JetBlue Park.

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report in Fort Myers on Saturday, Feb. 15, and hold their first workout on Monday, Feb. 17. Position players are expected to report on Feb. 18, and the first full-squad workout is scheduled for Feb. 20.

The Red Sox will kick off their slate of spring training games with an exhibition doubleheader versus Northeastern and Boston College on Feb. 27. The Sox will launch their 2014 Grapefruit League schedule at home on Friday, Feb. 28, at 1:05 p.m. versus their Mayor’s Cup rival, the Minnesota Twins.

Fans can purchase tickets at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Fla., online at RedSox.com, and by phone at 888-REDSOX6. Ticket prices will range from $5 to $48.

The Red Sox will once again hold a free Open House at JetBlue Park on Saturday, Feb. 22.
