Richie Incognito, Jonathan MartinRichie Incognito may not be the only guilty party in the Dolphins’ locker room.

The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that the Miami coaching staff encouraged Incognito to toughen up Jonathan Martin after the second-year player missed a couple of voluntary workouts last spring.

Reportedly, Martin skipped two days of the team’s OTA program, leading the coaches to tell Incognito — the team’s offensive line leader — to “get him into the fold.”

The report did not name which coaches allegedly instructed their guard to go harder on his teammate, but the Sun-Sentinel reveals that sources admitted that Incognito took things too far, bullying Martin and leaving him threatening messages.

Incognito has been indefinitely suspended by the team, while Martin is on indefinite leave, receiving treatment in his California hometown.

Martin filed a formal complaint against the Dolphins on Monday, but it is unclear whether these new details will become part of the ongoing investigation.
