Richie Incognito was suspended indefinitely by the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 3 for his alleged bullying of teammate Jonathan Martin.
Shortly after, the NFL began investigating the situation between the two offensive linemen, and even though that investigation hasn’t concluded, Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network reports that Incognito’s suspension will be extended with pay.

Incognito has missed four games due to his suspension, and since that was the maximum amount of games he could miss, Miami was forced to either reinstate him, release him or make an agreement that would allow the suspension to continue. As Darlington reports, an agreement was made among all parties that has allowed for Incognito’s ban to progress.

Incognito will also receive compensation for two of the four games he’s missed.

The 30-year-old offensive lineman is an upcoming free agent and it’s unclear if he will return to the Dolphins, or the NFL this season. He’s been a member of the Dolphins organization since the 2010 season and was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2005.
