richie incognitoRichie Incognito has been relatively mum on the hazing/bullying situation surrounding him and Jonathan Martin, but the the Dolphins guard reportedly feels “shocked” and “betrayed” by his teammate.

Incognito is serving an indefinite suspension from the team, but ESPN.com reports Incognito isn’t taking the allegations lightly.

“It’s probably a combination of totally blindsided and a bit betrayed,” the source said of Incognito’s current state. “He’s shocked. He can’t believe this happened and thinks it probably could have been avoided.”

It’s unclear what Incognito and Martin’s relationship was — Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill said the two were best friends, and other teammates said that Martin played Incognito’s expletive-laden, racially charged voice mail for the locker room and laughed about it.

ESPN.com’s source said Incognito saw himself as a “tough-love older brother” to Martin. He gave Martin a hard time but also looked out for him.

Martin is currently seeking medical treatment for emotional issues he says stem from bullying he received while with the team.
