It appeared the Patriots should have had one more shot at the end zone from the goal line, but it wasn’t to be.
Tom Brady underthrew Rob Gronkowski, but as the tight end started coming back for the ball, Luke Kuechly hugged him and forced him out of the end zone. The officials threw a flag on the play but picked it up without explanation.
It’s the second game the Patriots lost on a questionable call. New England lost its second game against the Jets after Chris Jones pushed Will Svitek on a field goal.
