Justin GreenJustin Green is back with the Patriots.

Just one day after being released from the 53-man roster, the cornerback cleared waivers and has been re-signed to the practice squad, according to a source. Green had been on the practice squad since the beginning of the season before being promoted to the 53-man roster on Saturday.

Green played special teams for New England on Sunday night. He also spent eight snaps on the field at cornerback against the Broncos. He was not targeted.

Green is an undrafted rookie out of Illinois. He was originally signed by the Patriots on July 21. Green spent all of training camp with New England.

After promoting Sealver Siliga to the 53-man roster, the Patriots have one more spot to fill on their practice squad. Marcus Forston has practice squad eligibility. He cleared waivers after being released on Tuesday.
