Tom BradyFOXBORO, Mass. — If it were up to Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski‘s mothers, the Patriots would have had one last shot to beat the Panthers.

Both Brady and Gronkowski’s mothers thought Luke Kuechly interfered with Gronkowski in the end zone Monday night. Unfortunately for New England, Mrs. Brady and Mrs. Gronkowski are not NFL officials.

“No final thoughts,” Brady said about the play. “My mom thought it was a penalty, does that count?”

After Brady weighed in with his mom’s opinion, Gronkowski was asked what his mother thought.

“Our moms are on the same page,” Gronkowski said.

The NFL does not agree, however. Clete Blakeman and his crew’s decision to pick up the flag was supported by the league.

There’s no word on what Luke Kuechly‘s mother thinks.
