The Cy Young award winners were announced Wednesday, with Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw and Tigers veteran Max Scherzer taking the honors in the NL and AL, respectively.
In addition to the fame and trophy that comes with winning this prestigious award, these two pitchers will also receive a special WWE championship belt.
After Kershaw and Scherzer were notified of their accomplishment, the MLB Twitter account posted photos of imaginary belts designed to celebrate their Cy Young award wins. It seems that WWE chairman Vince McMahon wasn’t impressed by these belts and has decided to give a replica version of a WWE championship belt to the two award winners.
