Alshon Jeffery‘s monster game wasn’t enough to lift the Bears over the Vikings, but the second-year wideout was able to lift himself over a Minnesota defender to cap off one of the most impressive catches of the day.

During the third quarter, Jeffery showed off his best Calvin Johnson impression, going up and over cornerback Chris Cook along the sideline to corral the 46-yard score. With tremendous body control, the Chicago receiver miraculously stayed in bounds on the catch and somehow managed to maintain possession as well.

Jeffery’s spectacular catch wasn’t as big of a hit with Cook, who immediately rushed to the referee’s side to argue that Jeffery had stepped out of bounds. Cook gave the referee a tap on the chest as he was pleading his case and with that, the cornerback’s day was over.

Jeffery finished the day with 249 yards on 12 catches and two touchdowns, becoming the first Bears receiver in franchise history to record more than one 200-yard game in the same season. Jeffery logged 218 yards in Chicago’s loss to New Orleans on Oct. 6.
