The Texans’ struggles on the field haven’t stopped Andre Johnson from shining off the gridiron.

For the seventh consecutive year, the All-Pro wide receiver hosted his annual shopping spree for at-risk kids in the Houston area. Johnson invited 12 children from Child Protective Services and their siblings to Toys “R” Us for a shopping extravaganza. The kids had 80 seconds to fill their carts with anything and everything that they could grab in the store, and they had some extra help as the Texans cheerleaders were on hand to help with the event.

“You get a chance to give back to the community. I remember as a little kid I wasn’t able to get things I wanted for Christmas, so we just give these kids the chance to go out and get what they want for Christmas,” Johnson said.

As is customary, Johnson footed the bill that totaled $17,352 this year.
