Andrew Shaw and Antoine Roussel weren’t about to let a couple of guys in black and white break up one of the more spirited bouts of the season.
The pair dropped the gloves with just under five minutes to go in the first period, with the Stars winger landing the first flurry of shots before Shaw came back with a barrage of his own — the majority of which came after his jersey was pulled over his head.
Showing surprisingly good aim for not being able to see his target, the scrappy Blackhawk unleashed on Roussel, and the pair continued to dance even after the referees swooped in. The officials eventually succeeded in pulling them apart, however, with one linesman having to take Shaw down to the ice himself.
