Brandon SpikesFOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots had some key players missing from practice on Wednesday.

After missing Sunday’s game, Aaron Dobson and Marcus Cannon were absent from the Gillette Stadium practice field. Brandon Spikes was also missing. He played against the Texans but didn’t quite look like himself.

Dobson has a foot injury, Cannon is dealing with an ankle injury and Spikes’ knee has bothered him. Michael Hoomanawanui was back at practice after missing two weeks with a knee injury. Kenbrell Thompkins was limited at practice after suffering a hip injury in Houston.

The skill position players were running fumble drills in front of the media again. No one let go of the ball.
