Devin McCourty, Brandon SpikesFOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots were missing another captain on Tuesday.

After suffering a slew of injuries on Sunday against the Ravens, safety Devin McCourty (head) and wide receiver Josh Boyce (ankle) were the only players missing from practice on Christmas Eve. McCourty injured his head while attempting to tackle Baltimore tight end Ed Dickson. McCourty’s head made contact with Dickson’s thigh and the safety appeared woozy getting up.

Boyce missed all three practice sessions last week and Sunday’s game. Running back Shane Vereen (groin), safety Steve Gregory and linebacker Dont’a Hightower were all present at practice after getting injured against the Ravens. Gregory was not participating in stretching drills with the rest of his teammates.

Vereen appeared to be moving well. He came out of Sunday’s game in the first quarter with a groin injury. He pulled up on a deep target from quarterback Tom Brady. He stood on the sideline in the second half but did not return.

The players were participating in a walkthrough in the Dana-Farber Field House. They were not wearing jerseys, making taking attendance a challenge.
