BOSTON — It wasn’t a fun night to be in the Celtics locker room on Wednesday.

Jeff Green was upset with himself over missing the potential game-winning shot, Avery Bradley was frustrated with failing to stop Pistons guard Brandon Jennings and Jared Sullinger was kicking himself over missing a free throw with 46 seconds left that would have tied the game. The second-year big man was still agonizing over the miss more than an hour after after the Celtics’ 107-106 loss.

According to a late-night tweet, Sullinger was in for a sleepless night.

For what it’s worth, Sullinger had 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists on Wednesday, and his 3-pointer with a minute left briefly gave the Celtics a 105-104 lead. Sullinger could have had at least 20 points, though, had he made that one extra foul shot, and that was all that mattered to him.
