The Portland Trail Blazers are finally getting some publicity — in the form of an awkwardly produced local car commercial.
Robin Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge starred in a recently released ad for a Portland car dealership that features an odd fake press conference and a fair amount of off-key singing. But worst of all is the green screen, which simply cannot handle Lopez’s Sideshow Bob hairdo.
The whole thing feels a bit like a joke, but with the Blazers playing their best basketball in a decade — Aldridge’s 31-point, 25-rebound performance led Portland to its Western Conference-best 19th win on Thursday — you can’t fault these guys for wanting to goof off a little.
