The Los Angeles Dodgers have re-signed pitcher Brian Wilson to a one-year contract worth $10 million, which also includes a player option for the 2015 season.

The 31-year-old relief pitcher was a bright spot in the Dodgers’ bullpen as a setup man in 2013, earning a 2-1 record with a 0.66 ERA, 13 strikeouts and a 0.878 WHIP in 13 2/3 innings. Wilson also pitched six innings in the Dodgers’ run to the NLCS and allowed four hits, struck out six and did not allow an earned run. He was the winning pitcher of the NLDS clincher over the Atlanta Braves in Game 4.
It was an impressive return to the majors for a player who missed all of the 2012 season because of Tommy John surgery.
