It’s a well-known fact that bears hibernate in the winter, so it shouldn’t be all that surprising that Mike Ditka took a little snooze Sunday morning. Unfortunately for Ditka, he happened to doze off while on national television.
During ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, the legendary coach appeared to fall asleep at the desk when the show cut to a segment in Miami. Once Josina Anderson threw it back to Chris Berman in the studio, Keyshawn Johnson had to rouse the sleeping Ditka with a nudge on the arm.
Ditka snapped to attention, and the show rolled on with no more catnaps, but hey, it’s Week 17. These things happen late in the season.
