Charlie Coyle gets it.
The 21-year-old Minnesota winger is only in his second year in the NHL, but he’s already acting like a veteran. While warming up before a game earlier in the season, the former Boston University player and Weymouth, Mass., native saw a youngster on the glass who was waving at him and trying to get his attention. Coyle responded with a wave of his own, and the result was pretty spectacular.
The young boy covered his humongous grin with his hands, but his unadulterated happiness couldn’t be hidden.
