Neymar, David Luiz and a few others have ensured that one of Nike’s great traditions continues to this day.

Brazilian soccer stars Neymar and Luiz join join national-team teammates Thiago Silva, Bernard and Paulinho in a new Nike soccer commercial, which tells viewers to “Dare to be Brasilian.” It’s Nike’s custom to make great commercials starring Brazilian soccer in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup, and this is the latest installment of a long-running series.

The “Dare to be Brasilian” ad bends the laws of time and space, as it takes viewers on a journey through the soul of Brazilian soccer. Dressed in early-1900s attire, Silva starts the sequence by making a tackle in a game of street soccer. Paulinho impresses the great Ronaldo by excelling on a dirt field in a tight space. Luiz and Bernard join the fun by being a defensive titan and a tricky dribbler respectively, and Neymar finishes things off by scoring in a game of beach soccer.

The 2014 World Cup kicks off in June, but the build-up to next summer’s tournament is well under way. The draw to determine the World Cup groups and matchups will be held on Friday at a resort in the northern state of Bahia. If Nike wanted the commercial to afflict fans with World Cup fever before the draw, it might be working.
