The Patriots are the third-most expensive American sports team to watch in person, according to data compiled by Business Insider.

The study used a metric called Adult Cost Index (ACI) — similar to the more commonly used Fan Cost Index — to judge how much it would cost one adult to attend a sporting event, factoring in the price of “an average-priced ticket, one beer, one soft drink, one hot dog, and half the cost of parking at the stadium.”

The ACI for a Patriots game at Gillette Stadium is $153.09 per person, trailing only the New York Knicks ($157.47) and Dallas Cowboys ($166.70). The Pats rank fourth behind the Toronto Maple Leafs in FCI, which estimates the average cost for a family of four to attend a game and includes additional purchases such as programs and caps.

The NFL, as expected, is the most expensive league as a whole to attend, claiming 18 of the top 25 spots on Business Insider’s rankings. Four NBA teams also made the list, as did three NHL franchises. No Major League Baseball team was ranked among the top 25.

The Boston Celtics were the only other New England squad to make an appearance, coming in at No. 25 with an ACI of $106.71 per person.
