It’s time to plunge.

More than 200 people are expected to “Plunge 4 Pete” on Dec. 28 at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Mass., to raise funds and awareness to Strike Out ALS.

The event is run by Peter Frates, a 28-year-old former Division I college athlete who was the captain of the Boston College baseball team. Frates was recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and has coordinated countless events over the years. But no event is as chilling as this one.

To find out more ways to be “freezin’ 4 a reason,” check out information on the event below.
