Rams Make Push to Get Punter Voted Into Pro Bowl, Call Him ‘The Real Johnny Football’ (Photo)

The St. Louis Rams really want their punter to get lei’d.

Johnny Hekker is a second-year punter out of Oregon State, and his 65 punts this season averaging 46 yards have landed him on the NFL’s Pro Bowl ballot. This year, the Pro Bowl will have its own draft, and teams are doing everything they can to get their players noticed for the annual game in Hawaii.

The Rams’ marketing department came up with some pretty clever T-shirts for Hekker’s Pro Bowl campaign, calling him “The Real Johnny Football.” Check out the joke-filled shirt in the photo below.

The fact that in the Rams’ mind their most successful player has been a punter, well, that in itself speaks volumes.
