The Washington Wizards got a solid 113-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night, but the play of the game was decidedly off the court.

Wizards coach Randy Wittman showed some real mettle when he took a basketball right to the kisser on the sideline. A Newsday photographer captured the pivotal moment, which made the pain somewhat humorous as Wittman stood calmly with his arms folded as the ball took on his face.
