Reilly Smith is proving to be one of the best offseason additions in the NHL.
The 22-year-old forward was acquired by the Bruins as part of the summer trade that sent Tyler Seguin and Rich Peverley to the Stars, and he’s been one of Boston’s most consistent scorers through 36 games.
Smith scored twice in Saturday’s win over the Sabres, increasing his season total to 11, which is one behind Milan Lucic for the team lead. He’s also tied with Lucic for second on the Bruins in scoring with 25 points.
