It’s already known that the Washington Capitals will host the 2015 NHL Winter Classic. Now it sounds like we’ll soon know exactly where the game will be played.

Nationals Park, the home of Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals, is expected to house the outdoor game, according to multiple reports. That seems to make the most sense, especially given the possibility of scheduling conflicts with the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.

It’s still unknown who the Capitals will play in the Winter Classic. The Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers reportedly are the front-runners, but nothing has been made official.

The Capitals will play in their second Winter Classic; they took on the Penguins in the 2011 game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The Flyers and Bruins also have been featured in the Winter Classic, with Philadelphia potentially making its third appearance. The Flyers played the Bruins in Boston in 2010 and the New York Rangers in Philly in 2012.
