The financial details of Saban’s new deal are unknown at this time, but we do know that he will be the highest-paid coach in college football.

Saban was rumored to be a potential candidate for the head coaching job at the University of Texas, a position that is not vacant.

Alabama’s bid for a third consecutive national title ended when it lost in stunning fashion to the rival Auburn Tigers on Nov. 30. The Crimson Tide will conclude their 2013 season with a Sugar Bowl matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners.
