Report: Stephen Drew Expected to Return to Red Sox, Could Be on Mets’ Radar

Stephen Drew might be part of the Red Sox’ bid to repeat as World Series champions.

According to Red Sox reporter Rob Bradford‘s source, the shortstop is believed to be heading back to the Sox this offseason, as seen in his tweet below.

Drew hit .253 with 13 home runs and 67 RBIs in 124 games with the Sox in the 2013 campaign after signing a one-year, $9.5 million deal a day after Christmas in 2012. While Bradford’s source believe’s he’ll be turning double-plays at Fenway Park next summer, The Boston Globe’s Nick Cafardo hears he might be on the Mets’ radar, too.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
