Predicted moderate to heavy rain in the Fenway neighborhood forced the cancellation of Sunday’s 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. community skate and sledding sessions at Fenway Park.
Because of the number of Citi Frozen Fenway events over the next two weeks, Sunday’s canceled skate and sledding sessions won’t be rescheduled.
Some City of Boston residents enjoyed free public skating during the day Sunday, courtesy of Mayor Thomas M. Menino. Sunday was one of two “Community Skate Days” for City of Boston residents. The second will be held on New Year’s Day.
