Colin Kaepernick idolized Brett Favre as a child, so it’s no wonder that the 49ers quarterback owned the famous green and yellow No. 4 jersey in his younger years.

Kaepernick openly admits to being a Packers fan as a kid, even saying “they were the only team I watched,” according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. But, while the idea of childhood fandom may not ruffle many feathers for 49ers fans, some San Francisco faithful may not be able to bear the sight of Kaepernick in a Packers jersey, which is exactly what happened on Sunday.

As Kaepernick and the 49ers prepare to head to Lambeau Field for a wild card playoff matchup in Green Bay, a photo of Kaepernick in Favre’s No. 4 Packers shirt surfaced on the internet, likely causing some anxiety attacks for Niners nation. Then again, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers grew up rooting for the 49ers, so Kaepernick isn’t exactly alone.
