The Internet is a crazy place.

Rumors swirled Tuesday about the sexual orientation of Aaron Rodgers, as gossip sites quoted anonymous insiders who claimed the Green Bay Packers quarterback is gay. The story gained so much steam that Rodgers used his weekly radio show on Wednesday to clear up any confusion on the subject.

“I’m just going to say I’m not gay,” Rodgers said on 540 WAUK-AM in Milwaukee. “I really, really like women. That’s all I can really say about that.”

Rodgers addressed the rumor when talking about the highs and lows of being a celebrity. He said one of the lows can be the “crazy rumors that swirl around you from time to time.”

Rodgers has long separated his personal life from his professional life, and he said he plans to continue on that path.

“There’s always going to be silly stuff out there in the media, and you can’t worry too much about it. I don’t,” Rodgers said. “I think professional is professional and personal is personal, and that’s how I’m going to keep it.”

Rodgers had no problem making a statement on the field Sunday when he led the Packers to a dramatic win over the Chicago Bears, sending the Pack into the playoff as the NFC North winners. Green Bay takes on the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs Sunday at Lambeau Field.
