Kentucky started the season as the No. 1 ranked team and was picked by many in the college basketball community to make the Final Four in March, but the Wildcats’ season has been anything but dominant so far.

Wednesday night’s 87-85 defeat on the road to an inferior Arkansas team was another example.

With the game tied 85-85 and under 10 seconds remaining in regulation, Razorbacks forward Michael Qualls crashed the glass and went by three Wildcats players to throw down a put-back dunk off a missed 3-point attempt to give his team the lead. The replay showed that 0.3 seconds were remaining after Qualls’ dunk went through the hoop.

The loss dropped Kentucky to 12-4 on the season (2-1 in SEC play), and it was the school’s first defeat to a non-ranked opponent this year. Luckily for the Wildcats, just one of its remaining regular-season opponents (Florida) is currently ranked.
