Vander BlueThe Boston Celtics have lost Avery Bradley and Jerryd Bayless to injuries in the last three days, so the team has called for reinforcements.

The Celtics have signed 6-foot-5 guard Vander Blue to a 10-day contract, the team announced Wednesday. Blue was cut in training camp by the Philadelphia 76ers. He has appeared in four games for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League this season, averaging 19.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 30.5 minutes per game.

Blue was an early-entry candidate in the 2013 NBA draft after garnering Second Team All-Big East honors during his junior season at Marquette, where he averaged 14.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.0 minutes per game.

Bradley left Tuesday night’s game against the Miami Heat with a sprained ankle in the second quarter, while Bayless is out for at least a week after spraining his toe Sunday night against the Orlando Magic.
