The Boston College men’s basketball team has struggled mightily to keep its footing this season — just as its head coach, Steve Donahue, did on Wednesday.
The 4-10 Eagles dropped a 73-58 decision to Harvard — which, at 12-1, looks primed for another run to the NCAA tournament — and Donahue became so animated in his arguments with the referees that he lost his balance at one point and went tumbling to the court.
It’s been that kind of season for BC, and with the ACC schedule opening in earnest this week — including consecutive meetings with No. 2 Syracuse and No. 19 North Carolina on Jan. 13 and Jan. 18, respectively — things definitely won’t get any easier in Chestnut Hill.
