The BCS National Championship game between Auburn and Florida State will be full of entertaining moments, but viewers were treated to a noteworthy one before the teams even took the field.
As ESPN’s coverage of the title game was getting underway, Brent Musburger introduced himself and Kirk Herbstreit, but he got a little confused as to who was who. Much to the delight of his partner, Musburger opened the broadcast by saying, “Good evening and welcome everybody. I’m Kirk Herbstreit, along with Brent Musburger.”
It was a rocky start, but it can only go up from here, at least.
