Niklas Svedberg must brave the snow storm that’s blanketing New England on Thursday, as the Boston Bruins recalled the goalie from Providence just hours before their game against the Predators at TD Garden.

Svedberg might start to give Tuukka Rask a breather. Rask has allowed eight goals in his last two starts, including five goals in Tuesday’s loss to the New York Islanders. Rask was pulled against the Ottawa Senators on Dec. 28 after allowing three goals in just over 20 minutes of action.

Svedberg was 13-5-3 with a 2.87 goals-against average in 22 games in Providence.
