Buccaneers’ Tom Crabtree Mistaken For Michael Crabtree, Gets Harrassed On Twitter

There was a lot of hate being thrown around after the Seattle Seahawks topped the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday to earn a trip to Super Bowl XLVIII, and some of it found its way to an unintended target.

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman‘s explosive postgame interview sent Twitter into a tizzy, with some bashing Sherman and others joining him in ripping on 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Some apparently did not pay enough attention to which Crabtree they were insulting, though.

That’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Tom Crabtree, who unexpectedly found himself in the middle of a Twitter firestorm Sunday night. He was a good sport about it, though, joking about his newfound followers and complementing ESPN writer Mitch Sherman on his lockdown defense.
