The Boston Bruins’ defense has been plagued by injuries this season, but the blue line received a boost when Dougie Hamilton returned to the lineup Saturday.
The young blue liner missed four games with a concussion, but he didn’t miss a beat in his return against the Philadelphia Flyers. Hamilton saw 18:55 worth of ice time and recorded three shots on goal en route to the Bruins’ lopsided 6-1 win.
Hamilton said he hopes the Bruins’ success rolls over when they take on the New York Islanders on Monday. The Isles have gotten the best of the Bruins twice this season, but Hamilton revealed a strategy for handing the Islanders a loss in their final matchup of the season.
