Eugenie Bouchard turned in arguably the best match of her young tennis career Tuesday, upsetting No. 14 Ana Ivanovic in the Australian Open quarterfinals. But the reporter interviewing the 19-year-old Canadian apparently was not interested in Bouchard’s performance on the court.
Instead, Bouchard was asked who her celebrity dream date would be, and, after several awkward seconds, she decided on Justin Bieber.
Bouchard, seeded 30th in the tournament, will now take on two-time Aussie Open finalist Li Na in the semifinals. Hopefully, that match will be a Bieber-free zone.
