New England sports fans no longer will need to choose between watching football or college hockey this weekend.

Fenway Sports Management and Hockey East announced that the start times for both of Saturday’s Frozen Fenway matchups will be moved up by 45 minutes in hopes of wrapping up the final game before the New England Patriots’ AFC divisional-round tilt against the Indianapolis Colts kicks off at 8:15 p.m.

Puck drop for UMass Lowell-Northeastern is now scheduled for 2:15 p.m., with Maine-Boston University following at 5:45 p.m. Slightly warmer temperatures are expected in the Boston area, which should make for a cleaner ice surface than was seen for the games at Fenway Park last Saturday.

Gates at Fenway will open at 1:15 p.m.
