Richard Sherman might have turned off a whole lot of fans with his emphatic postgame rant Sunday, but he earned the admiration of one of the greatest hitters of all time.

Former Major League Baseball home run king Hank Aaron, who has sent just eight tweets from his verified Twitter account, tweeted his support for Sherman on Tuesday, two days after the outspoken Seahawks cornerback roasted 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree in an interview with Erin Andrews.

The legion of Sherman haters will undoubtedly grow during the two-week run-up to Super Bowl XLVIII, but Hammerin’ Hank, who faced his fair share of criticism during his pursuit of Babe Ruth‘s home run record, is certainly not a bad guy to have in your corner.
