Either they don’t make basketball hoops like they used to, or this high school player just waited until his senior year to bust out the big guns.
Panther Creek High School senior Nubian Spann busted out the first dunk of his career against Apex High School on Friday night and it was a doozy –a glass-shattering doozy. In a transition play, Spann broke for the basket and received a timely alley-oop pass from his teammate who lobbed it up just beyond the arc. In one smooth motion, Spann caught the rock, slammed it home and joined the rest of those in attendance to celebrate one of the most exciting plays in sports.
Did we mention this was Spann’s first dunk ever? Because that should probably be reiterated.
