Hot Stove Cool Music Boston Series Returns Jan. 11 and Jan. 21

Get ready to support a good cause while enjoying festive music and baseball talk. The Hot Stove Cool Music Boston Series is back.

The 2013 Hot Stove Cool Music Concert and VIP party will take place Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Paradise Rock Club on Commonwealth Ave. in Boston. This year’s Hot Stove Cool Music Sports Roundtable will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Fenway Park’s State Street Pavilion.

Cubs president of baseball operations/former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein will once again team up with Peter Gammons to bring the series to Boston. This year’s concert will feature performances by Howie Day, Trigger Hippy featuring Joan Osborne, members of the Black Crowes, The Baseball Project featuring Mike Mills from R.E.M and others. Actor/comedian Mike O’Malley will emcee the event.

Those with VIP concert tickets for the Jan. 11 event can enter at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-concert party. Doors open at 6 p.m. for those with general admission tickets, and the event will kick off at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $40 and VIP tickets are $150.

Gammons will moderate the Jan. 21 event, which will feature a roundtable discussion with key baseball executives, including Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington, assistant GM Mike Hazen, manager John Farrell and legendary sportswriter Bob Ryan.

Tickets for the Jan. 21 roundtable are $150, and the event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

All proceeds from the Hot Stove Cool Music Boston Series will go to The Foundation to Be Named Later, which raises funds and awareness for non-profit agencies and works on the front lines to serve disadvantage youth.
