The 2014 NFL draft class just got a lot stronger.
University of South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and University of Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater have each announced their decision to forgo their final season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft.
Clowney’s announcement came after the Gamecocks’ 34-24 victory over the University of Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl on Wednesday. Bridgewater’s decision was first reported by ESPN’s Brett McMurphy. Bridgewater also sent out a tweet thanking Louisville for the past three seasons.

Both players are candidates to go No. 1 overall in the 2014 draft. The Houston Texans hold that pick after going 2-14 during the 2013 season.
