Super Bowl FootballThe Denver Broncos weren’t taking any chances with sick kicker Matt Prater just one week before the Super Bowl.

Prater did not practice last week, as he’s been dealing with a stomach virus. Broncos head coach John Fox joked Sunday that the team put the kicker “in a bubble” on its flight from Denver to New York, to keep the other players from catching Prater’s lingering illness.

Fox said Prater feels “much better” and should be fine to play next Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Prater will need to feel 100 percent if the predicted weather holds up. There’s a 60 percent chance of snow in East Rutherford, N.J., on Super Bowl Sunday.
