Boston Mayor Stays True To His Word, Wears Denver Broncos Jersey (Photos)

Boston mayor Marty Walsh hasn’t been in office for long, but he’s already had to endure the ultimate New England embarrassment: rocking a Denver Broncos jersey.

Walsh was on the losing end of a friendly wager he made with Denver mayor Michael Hancock about the outcome of the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Broncos. The Patriots fell 26-16, and as part of the terms, Walsh was forced to sport the blue and orange jersey.

In addition to wearing Peyton Manning’s threads Monday, Walsh also sent 5 pounds of chocolate turtles from Phillips Candy House in Dorchester to Hancock and also donated a number of books to Denver Public Libraries.
