When you combine a determined puck handler with some seriously shoddy defense, you end up with a highlight like this.

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Harry Zolnierczyk, currently playing with the team’s AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, beat not one, not two, but all five Syracuse Crunch skaters Wednesday night for one of the more impressive goals of the season.

After receiving a pass near his own blue line, Zolnierczyk skated all alone into the Syracuse end, squeezing himself between two defenders and falling to the ice before sending a laser over the right shoulder of Crunch goalie Kristers Gudlevskis. The goal put the Penguins ahead 3-0, and a tally by Denver Manderson six minutes later put the finishing touches on a 4-0 victory.
