Watching NFL playoff games in silence is incredibly difficult, but one group of Seattle Seahawks fans was brave enough to accept the challenge during their team’s NFC Championship Game matchup against the San Francisco 49ers last weekend.
The prize for completing the challenge was $5,000.
The Seahawks and 49ers combined for 40 points, four turnovers and several momentum-swinging plays in what became one of the most exciting playoff games in recent memory. The back-and-forth pace made keeping your emotions in check a true test, and these fans did a tremendous job getting excited after each Seahawks score without saying a word.
They almost made it to the end of the game in silence, but they couldn’t contain their excitement when Richard Sherman tipped a pass intended for 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree into the hands of Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett to clinch a Seattle victory.
Check out the group of Seahawks fans trying to watch the game in complete silence in the video below.
This might be the best sports tattoo ever.
