Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson might never play a single inning for the Texas Rangers, but he’ll be forever immortalized on a Topps baseball card.

Wilson, who was a minor league second baseman in the Colorado Rockies organization, was selected by the Rangers in the Rule 5 draft last December. While he’s been a little preoccupied with leading his team to Super Bowl XLVIII this season, Wilson has expressed his desire to attend spring training with the Rangers. Wilson doesn’t intend on pursuing a career in baseball, but that hasn’t stopped the Topps baseball card company from showing Texas fans what could be.

“Sports fans have always been fascinated by the two-sport star,” Topps vice president of product development Clay Luraschi said. “When you talk to fans about amazing athletes, you always hear the name Bo Jackson come up. And whenever you have an athlete that could potentially be a two-sport star, there’s always a lot of buzz about him.

“Will he ever play for the Rangers? We don’t know. But we thought we’d make a card to let people know what it would look like if he did.”

Wilson’s limited edition card will be available beginning April 30. Check out a photo of it below.
