Dallas Stars winger Jamie Benn is the goal-scorer, the Olympian, the offensive force alongside linemate Tyler Seguin. But it was Benn’s older brother, Jordie, who provided the offensive fireworks Tuesday night.

The elder Benn, a defenseman, who entered the Stars’ matchup against the Minnesota Wild with just one goal to his credit this season, received a golden opportunity when Wild goalie Darcy Kuemper threw his stick at Benn to protect a wide-open net. Benn was awarded a penalty shot, and he proceeded to wow the home crowd by faking Kuemper out of his skates with some nifty stickhandling.

The goal, Dallas’ last of the night, was the cherry on top of a dominating win, as the Stars routed the visiting Wild 4-0. Jamie Benn got his name on the scoresheet, as well, assisting on an Erik Cole goal late in the first period.
